Step Back in Time at Galveston’s Dickens on the Strand Festival.  The 50th annual enchanting festival is set to grace Galveston Island, Texas, from Friday, December 1, 2023, to Sunday, December 3, 2023, transporting attendees to the magical world of Charles Dickens.  

Admission is FREE during the first night of the festival.  Additionally, participants donning Victorian attire can purchase their tickets at half price directly at the gate.

This annual holiday extravaganza meticulously recreates the essence of Victorian London during the 19th century, immersing visitors in a nostalgic journey through time.

As you stroll through the festival, the air resonates with the spirit of Dickensian charm. The crafted atmosphere captures the intricacies of 19th-century Victorian London, allowing participants to authentically experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of that bygone era.

Dickens on the Strand boasts a vibrant array of activities, including parades that wind through the historic streets. The festival is alive with non-stop entertainment, featuring strolling carolers, roving musicians, bagpipers, jugglers, and a diverse ensemble of entertainers and costumed revelers, all contributing to the festive ambiance.

Street stalls and rolling carts, manned by costumed vendors, offer an array of holiday delights and Victorian-inspired crafts, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the immersive experience.
