Islanders By Choice
Cat & Jack Caszatt
Like all career military families, Jack and Cat Caszatt, and their four children, lived the life of relocation.
New schools here. New friends there.
But after 25 years of service, when it was time to choose a forever home, the decision to move to Galveston Island was an easy one for Cat and Jack.
They loved the beach.
They loved the idea of a life with their toes in the sand on as many days as possible.
In fact, you can often find the two of them doing just that, barefoot on the beach – with their toes in the sand and a drink in their hand, sharing good times with each other, local friends or one or all of their now-adult children Samantha, Matt, Sarah, and Katrina.
The Caszatt’s are a fun, tight-knit family and although their children have now moved off the island for their education and careers, they enjoy their time together like many Texas families, Christmas Day on the beach, Mother’s Day at a Hill Country River, football games and college graduations in College Station and an upcoming wedding in Austin.
Now that Jack has fully retired from aviation, serving an additional 15 years as a pilot with Southwest Airlines, the couple is able to devote more time and attention to living and sharing the Galveston Island lifestyle.
Caszatt's Condos
It wasn’t long after moving to the Island that they came up with the idea to invest in another vacation rental condo on the Galveston Seawall after having success with their condos in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
They named their first property “Iseazatt View” a cute play on words because of the amazing views from the property that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico.
Cat and Jack enjoyed sharing their condo with new guests to the island. Cat was a natural hostess and helped guests with ideas for things to do and places to go. She loved reading reviews and seeing photos the guests shared after their stay and constantly strived to make the guest experience even better.
Eventually, they added additional condos to their short-term rental portfolio for a total of four. Cat enjoyed decorating her condos with coastal themes and bright colors, creating a beachy vacation rental vibe that her guests enjoyed.
With each new property they added, they continued receiving five-star reviews from their guests and Cat was proud to receive the “Airbnb Superhost” Badge on her listings for her hospitality, attention to detail, cleanliness, value and guest communication.
After nearly 20 years of being Galveston Islanders by Choice, Cat and Jack love providing their guests with a taste of Island life – morning coffee with a gulf breeze, golf cart trips to local restaurants, fishing on the pier, those amazing Galveston sunsets and toes in the sand as often as possible.
